Hello All, I am 60 years old, I Thought I could figure out how to build and operate my 'n' scale layout based on my own experiance. I was wrong. I have spent many hours reading and researching Model Railroading on forums and Web searches, because I thought i could do it on my Own, again, I was wrong. I have heard that I should be patient in my endeavors as to this Great hobby. In the last 2 years, I have received, as gifts, two starter kits. The locos are great looking, and in my arrogance to the advice of "Those that have gone before me", I have ignored the advice to purchase quality instead of quanity. I have three lococ's, tonight, the two that came with the "Starter Kits" gave up the Ghost. The loco I purchased on my own( because I liked the way it Looked) is running like a Champ. After six Monthes of Frustration with the starter kit Loco's, and five and 1/2 monthes of operation, and no frustation with the quality Loco, I feel that I must inform those of Us that are new, or considering getting back into this Great hobby, That We Must pay attention to the advice given freely by those who are very adept and Experianced beyond Us Newbies. They're Advice is True and Priceless. I urge All, who are Commited to pursue The "Greatest Hobby in The World" to heed and work toward the goal You have set for yourself. The Greatest advice I can offer is to Listen to "The Masters of ModelRailroading", that post They're opinions and Priceless advice,They know what they're are talking about. I regret that I have not done so until now. Enjoy Your hobby,Thankyou for Your Time, Gandoff
