Track Cleaning solutions

Postby go4itgso » Tue May 16, 2017 8:36 pm

I have Fastrack and want to keep my tracks clean. The solutions the different manufacturers sell are expensive for small bottle , which do not go very far. Acetone cannot be used since it damages the plastic of the Fastrack. i am looking for suggestions of other solutions i can use that are not expensive for use on a large "O" gauge layout.

On the HO club layout we use a Brite Boy™ track cleaner. They are available through most model train retailers. As for a liquid cleaner, I use either simple green, or water with a drop of Dawn™ dish soap, on a rag on my outdoor large scale layout.
